Great Lumley

We were approached by the clients to demolish the existing conservatory and build a new extension in its place. We organised a local architect to the company to draw up the plans and the specification and we completed the works within four weeks from initial commencement.

We had a minor problem to get over and that was to bridge an un-identified Northumbria Water mains drain that ran the entire width of the extension – this was designed and carried out with the local building control officer and the area manager from the Water Board and executed by ourselves.

The existing sun room was chamfered on the corners and we built the new extension with square corners, a solid insulated roof with matching bricks and new UPVC windows and doors. All relevant paperwork was submitted and signed off on completion of the project with the local authorities..
